# voice and examples

Voice may be sharp, warm, confident, and quietly funny. Personality should come from a specific observation, not an adjective stack. Prefer one dry line or small Easter egg over a themed pun system.

Before: `Oopsie! Your magnificent message is off on another adventure!`

After, restrained product voice: `Message did not send. Your draft is still here.`

After, when the owning brand explicitly permits dry wit: `Message did not send. At least the draft stayed put.`

Before: `We're thrilled to announce our powerful new reporting experience.`

After: `Reports now include shift-level downtime.`

For another author, preserve their recognizable syntax and tone. Correct only the requested issue unless factual, legal, safety, accessibility, or technical accuracy requires escalation. Do not add wit to legal notices, destructive confirmations, errors needing urgent action, or accessibility instructions.
